The JJ ECC803 is a long-plate version of the standard 12AX7. The longer plates give the tube higher gain.

It has a rich and full tone with creamy distortion that does well in any 12AX7 application. Spiral filament for reduced microphonics.

    Lifted the tone a lot. Worth replacing the AC4C1 factory tubes with these.

    Excellent alternative to the ECC83, a little bit clearer to my ear and I found it best suited to the PI or V3 in my AC30HW.

    replaced the stock tubes (rubys) with the jjecc803 in a laney cub 10, a little more gain and a brightening of the mids resulted. all pleased with the result. looking to replace the 6v6s with jj valves too. regards, craig.
