In the early 1970's, Kent Armtsrong got his start rewinding pickups in his father, Dan Armstrong's New York City repair shop. Eventually, Kent took over the repair shop and added a partner: pickup designer Bill Lawrence. With Bill's help, Kent continued his accumulation of pickup knowledge, and it was at this time that he started building his first pickups.Now Kent lends his mind to designing some of the best value pickup upgrades available.
You'll love the traditional single coil tone offering a warm neck pickup wound slightly brighter and hotter than the standard vintage Tele neck pickup. This helps making your solos well defined and articulate while not being too bright or heavy in mid range frequencies. This is one of Kent's favorite designs and very popular with builders.

Installed a set of Fender Noiseless pickups in a 4 way tele switching mod but the neck P/U refused to work. So, I bought the Kent, clipped the link and tied it into ground. Works exceptionally well. A really nice, slightly bluesy sounding pickup which works nicely with the Fender Noiseless bridge P/U. Well worth the mod and would recommend the Kent to other tele players.
Nice well rounded sound. Ideal for blues with a bit of overdrive. Also works really well for country music as well. Great value for money
