This was part of a retube of a 6 year old amp. So compared to the tubes that where out of speck it is an unfair comparison. The hope was to get a more flexible gain structure instead of the 12ax7 I tried these out. Yes i am getting a cleaner signal to the power amp tube, solving a lot of the nastiness of the preamp distortion in this amp, May even try a lower gain tube in V1 position next time. As for delivery time Way faster than expected so am a happy camper!
Added one of these to a Fender Champion 600 that I had performed some significant modifications on. Was trying to bring down the gain a little bit to squeeze out some more head. Worked a treat, nice tone.
